Default Half Moon Bay - July 16-17 Weather?

Hi to the San Francisco people.

We will be there for a wedding that weekend and my daughter and her
friends (mid-twenties) want to know if it is possible to "lounge on a
beach". Is Half moon Bay a good choice? Are there other possibilities?
Will the weather be okay? the water swimable?

Thanks

Sure it is.

For lounging on the beach, yes it is.

Are there other possibilities?

Santa Cruz, Carmel, Monterey.

Will the weather be okay?

the weather is always OK.

the water swimable?

The sharks seem to think so.

Thanks

Since you're from Canada, maybe the water will be swimmable. The local
surfers will all be wearing wet suits. July is the fog season along the
northern California coast, though some days will be sunny, at least in the
early afternoon.

Uh. I lived for some 16 years in Pacifica and Daly City, and I
have to say that HMB beaches may only be loungable in July of you
don't mind heavy fog and a chilly breeze.

Are there other possibilities?

Santa Cruz, Carmel, Monterey.

July is fog season for both of them.

Will the weather be okay?

the weather is always OK.

If yo don't mind fog and a very cloudy marine layer that may
persist until almost noon and then return around 2pm. Sometimes
it never leaves.

the water swimable?

The water in that area is so cold it makes my legs ache just
wading into it.
