but it's also
popular enough that somebody will pass you carrying a thermos of hot
tea every few minutes at any time of year.


my experience of the Highlands is that when the weather gets
really bad there arent many people about. WHW is of course one of
the popular walks so maybe more people about than elsewhere, but
I wouldnt consider winter hill walking in Scotland unless
experienced. The WHW isnt of course strictly hillwalking.
