The QM2 world cruise has been talked about for a while, so does anyone
have an inside to what is/has happened?

Hi Mark,

Yes it is scheduled for 2007. According to Cunard, the QM2 & the QE2
are going to be sailing World Cruises in 2007. QM2's Maiden World
Cruise will travel round-trip from Ft. Lauderdale, sailing "Around the
World in 80 Days". She will visit many of the great cities of the
world such as Rio, Santiago, San Francisco, Auckland, Sydney, Hong
Kong, Singapore, Cairo, Athens, Rome and Paris. QE2's Silver Jubilee
World Cruise voyage will take her on a 108-day journey around the
globe, sailing round-trip from either New York or Fort Lauderdale.
She'll be visiting an extraordinary collection of ports along the way,
with overnights in Sydney, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Capetown, to allow
for more in-depth exploration. New for 2007, Cunard is offering all
World Cruise voyages as "non-air" which means lower fares and
increased flexibility for passengers. For those who prefer air
inclusive packages, air add-ons will be available at extra cost.
Both World Cruises are available in segments, and two or more segments
can be combined to allow for maximum flexibility.

It will be interesting to see the ships tied up in Paris & Rome. It
should be quite some site. vbg

Best regards,
Ray
