I'm going to Morocco in September and would like to keep up my running
while I'm there. Is it acceptable to run in the city streets? And
are 'normal' running clothes ie. shorts, tee-shirt/vest acceptable?

The median streets are narrow and crowded, so you need to stay in the
Ville Nouvelle. As to the second part, are you mail or female? If you're
female I'd suggest wearing long pants (track suit bottoms).

T-shirt is fine in any case.

Shorts are completely fine if you're a man and you're jogging. Plenty of
tourists - both male and female - wear shorts wherever and whenever, so you
wouldn't be the only one.
