which airline, and starting from and ending at which airports?

Iberia, Heathrow - Santiago de Comostela (spelling?)

So no changes and under IB's control? I was flying QF FC LAX-SYD and my
bags were nowhere near the 1st off. More likely somewhere in the middle
due to congestion on the belt (I'd hate to have checked bags in a packed
A380 flying into that airport). Not too bad for MEL-LAX but again, my
bags weren't anywhere near the first off. I just wouldn't trust
priority tagging.

Makes carryon all the more attractive.

No changes. I assume under IB / BA's control (dual flight number).

Agreed.

True. If only I didn't have to carry work stuff that takes my carryon allowance.
