I believe it is Netscape 7.1. There are some things I can't do on
it....like see where cabins are on Orbitz, but other than that I don't have too many non-functioning things. Jeff Tom & Linda wrote: "Jeff Coudriet" wrote in message news:Bsk_c.1146$BQ4.132@trnddc06... I love Netscape for that reason....no pop ups! I think hackers don't bother writing hacks for Netscape either! I think it is a lot safer than IE. Which version of Netscape? |

It is safer and more secure than Internet Explorer because it does not use Active X and blocks pop-ups. I should add that the new version of Internet Explorer that comes with Service Pack 2 can block ups. But it still uses Active X. -- Charles |

The community has a certain respect for open source. Besides which, vulns are corrected within days, if not hours. Contrast this with vulns on IE that have been there for a month or more. It certainly uses some bandwidth, but I wouldn't call it chewing it up. -- dillon When I was a kid, I thought the angel's name was Hark and the horse's name was Bob. |

Unless you uncheck the box that says enable the running of active X, then it
won't run active x You can block popups with any of a hundred free products out there, including any of the major toolbars, yahoo, google, msn, etc. Service pack 2 also blocks popups, but nobody should see them anyways, since they are so easy to get rid of.
