Hurricane Season

Today is June 1, the official beginning of the Atlantic Hurricane season,
which lasts until November 30. We all know that the 'active' season isn't
until August, but there it is. South Florida media pointed out last night
that this has been the 4th driest May on record - that the May with the
lowest rainfall was 1965, with Hurricane Betsy; second direst was 1992 with
Andrew; third driest was 1935, with the killer Labor Day Hurricane that
topped 200 mph, waves overwashed the palm trees in Islamorada and the train
of war veterans going to do railroad work in Marathon was washed out to sea.
That was supposed to make us feel better? Anyway, here is the list of names
that you (hopefully) will not be hearing much this year:
