Obama's Legacy
Obama's Legacy
"...History will judge Obama’s biggest historical effect to be the backlash he will inspire against him among voters. His most important legacy will be the Tea Party movement, which wouldn’t have happened without him..." http://preview.tinyurl.com/4zEvleths262a10 "...When Rahm Emanuel leaves to go run for mayor in Chicago, all the blood will drain out of the White House. And Obama can go to Ben’s Chili Bowl for lunch every day and it won’t matter...." After all, in "God's Own Country", if you want "Change you can believe in" - this is tantamount to blasphemy. Don't you know that Utopia is already here? But the Plutocracy which really runs "America" sees to it that no real threat develops to its hegemony, and the deluded hockey mums and their TEA Party ("Taxed Enough Already") will see Obama gets the boot. So, while the Corporate world is happy to be bailed out from its self-indulgence by Main St mugs, it will minimise change, and see the world is safe for apple pie, momism, and the American Dream (or Nightmare, if you live in the sub-prime mortgage belt). Dear old Capitalism totters on, an obsolete economic system, but, while Tweedledumbo and Tweedledonkee fight it out over minutiae of policy, the threat of Boom and Slump hangs over all, and the average voter will do as the Plutocratic Press tells him/her to - and everyone blames the Govt, there being too much of such. Free Enterprise is Best, as the more enterprises you own, the freer you are. |
