Eden Bay Resort, Dominican Republic
Posted by Tom Fernstrom for Helmut & Karin:
Hallo EVERYBODY! Here is our next report on a fabulous nudist resort in the Dominican Republic: We just returned from EDEN BAY, a beautiful secluded nudist resort on the north coast of the D.R. You fly into Puerto Plata and they will pick you up by private transfer for a 1-1/2 hour drive to the resort. Eden Bay consists of approx. 60 one-bedroom chalets located inside a large cove and approx. 50 spacious hotel units in 2 three-story buildings on a cliffside overlooking the cove. All structures are concrete with terrazzo floors. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with tropical plants, some 200 tall palm trees and luscious lawns. There are 2 swimming pools, a water volleyball pool and 2 Jacuzzis - one right on the edge of the ocean. There is a small sandy beach for ocean swimming and the snorkeling is quite good, too. Next to each pool are large palapas with bar service. The restaurant is in a large open Hacienda style building, which also houses the reception, a bar, a gift shop and a disco. The food is excellent and the service great. At the time we were there you could order anything you wanted a-la carte for breakfast which was served in the main restaurant. Lunch was served under the giant beach palapa in the cove. Diner is always in the main restaurant and every night they offered a different soup, a different salad and a choice of three different main courses, plus various desserts. Wine, beer, tropical drinks and hard stuff were available anytime. Late at night you could help yourself; and you can also order room service... This is an all-inclusive resort and everything is truly included. We paid $ 307,- per couple per day/night and when you stay one week the seventh day is free, you stay 2 weeks and 2 days are free. Check their website: www.edenbay.com We really had a great time and I can highly recommend this place. It is a fantastic resort in the most beautiful setting and lusher landscaping than any other nudist resort we have been to. For those of you who go occasionally for a week to one of the Jamaican places I strongly suggest: go to Eden Bay instead. This place is worth a try - and you will want to go there again... We sure will! Take care! Helmut & Karin --multiplaza.nl.nu-- |
