What child *chooses* to go to school, to brush ... its teeth, to look before crossing the road? You said *THE LONG RUN*, you silly doggie. Unless your lifespan is 24 hours, those are not *it*. Did Mixi contaminate you or what? Woof! My daughter doesn't like to clean her teeth - no idea why, but that's the situation. In the LONG RUN that means that her teeth will drop out prematurely, so I make the decision for her that she WILL clean her teeth twice a day. Understand now? Or did passively consuming chemicals at the (non-existent) Techno Parade addle your wits? G; |

Or else her parents derelicted their duty and allowed her to make some ill-advised choices? (Much like Mixi's, in allowing him to decide to **** all his money away and end up in a cupboard) G; |

You have already lost your battle - as soon as you are out of the picture= she will stop brushing her teeth. Whatever you do, hers is the last word - even if it's= bad for her. That's true in this case. In more important cases, I have the last word :-) e=2Eg. vaccination, a la Mixi: "Little girl, shall I stick this great big needle in your leg and make you cry?" "On reflection, Pater, I'd prefer to run the risk of contracting a fatal disease" or alternatively: Jab!!! "Whaaaahhhhh!!!!" Ain't parenting great? Hmmmm.... G; |

Actually the digits we use in our number system probably did not come through the arabs like the system itself. Their origin is cloudy but they are likely predominantly of roman origin. The Arabs meanwhile simply transferred the number system. It was built in India on Babylonian roots. |
