Chateau de Pierrefond, France

I will be visiting Paris in September and would like to include a trip
to the Chateau de Pierrefond. I am elderly and do not wish to drive. I
have established that the chateau is near Compiegne, which can be
reached by train from the Gare du Nord in Paris, but am unable to
ascertain if there is a bus service from Compiegne to the chateau. Has
anyone been there who could offer some advice or direct me to a suitable
web site. (The chateau site does not include public transport
directions!) Any comments or advice will be appreciated.

There is definitely a bus service from Compiegne to the Chateau.

I suggest you ring the Tourism Office at the Chateau and make enquiries.
