Stay away from Royal Sunset Hotel in Cancun, Mexico

I had a horrible experience with this hotel in Dec. 2003. The hotel
promised to provide a free day-trip ticket as long as I stay for a
90-miniutes sales presentation about their facility. It turned out to
be a time share sales pitch which I wasn't interested. I was told
since there is "no-obligation" with the sales however I can tell they
are not happy you don't buy in what they are selling. At the end,
they give a tour voucher for the day trip but the bus NEVER showed up
and when I called them back they said the bus must "missed" me. The
interior of the hotel is a 3-star at best in US standard. The fish
tank in the main lobby was dirty and people work there (not staff, but
the sales) are acting just like a bunch of crooks! Also stay away
from the people works at Cancun airport who told you there are
promotions at local hotel and would like to sign you up for it. The
following is a list of properties managed by Sunset Group in Cancun
Mexico: Sunset Sea Star Isla Mujeres, Sunset Lagoon Resort & Yacht
Club, Sunset Royal De Luxe Resort (or Sunset Royal deluxe Resort), and
Hotel Sunset. Stay away from those places like hell!!!
