does anyone know, are the UK plug adaptors the same for iceland as france or
do we need to get different ones

This page says they are the same (i.e. the adaptor you used in France
will also work in Iceland, which I'm presuming is the basis of your
question):

This is a good site for the various styles of plugs and sockets.

According to it, although France and Iceland use different styles, the one
adaptor will do them, yes.

I had to use a great lunky triple for UK, but a little 2-plug for
france, Germany, and Scandinavia.

There are at least two Alans here - I don't think Alan Luker
has diabetes so I'm guessing you meant me:-)
