2. TAKE VITAMINS OR HERBAL SUPPLEMENTS: These can't hurt and
there are plenty of travelers who swear by large doses of Vitamin C,
zinc, lozenges or products such as "Airborne"...

Not true. Large doses of Vitamin A can cause kidney failure. Recent
studies have shown that extremely large does of C can be toxic. St.
John's Wort can interact with a variety of medications. Just because
it's "natural" doesn't make it safe.
