Default flu vaccination for travel from US to Hong Kong

I'll be visiting Hong Kong from the US over Xmas and heard from a
questionable source that flu vaccination is required. Can someone who
know if this is true please tell me.

Thanks.

I don't think there is currently any required vaccination for entering HK.

But with the anticipated flu epidemic hitting the US, you may want to get
this anyway. Flu symptoms can be very similar to SARS.

Thanks.

Your questionable source is incorrect.

Not true. Just came back from HK a few weeks ago. They do require you to fill
out a "health" form, and be subject to temperature check upon arrival at Chek
Lap Kok. You must declare that you have no "SARS like" symptoms (fever, etc.).
The tempature check is automatic using Infra-red technologies. You walk right
through and can see yourself on the monitor. As long as you show up "blue,"
you're good to go. Otherwise, you get pulled over for a more thorough exam, and
this is even *before* you get to Immigration. You're also checked on the way
out, just after immigration and security.
