Default Routes from Albany to Ottawa?

Hi All,

There seem to be two main ways to do this.. either up I87 through
Montreal, or across the Thruway and up through Watertown. Anyone have
any ideas on which would be better? Traveling on a Friday and Monday,
both times in the morning through early afternoon.

Thanks.

peace,

-*-

I'd say going via Watertown would be the better choice of the two. Driving
through Montreal can be a nightmare at the best of times.

Really? Even if I stay on the highways? This was my concern too
actually...

The problem with the Watertown drive is that it is boooooring. Done it
so many times. Well, guess I have to make up my mind what my priorities
are here.

Thanks.

Hi Charles,

If you want a change from the Watertown drive, then by all means give going
through Montreal a shot. Not driving through it is just my personal
preference. I hate it. :c) Bumper to bumper traffic on the highways going
through and the drivers aren't the most courteous in the world. :c)

Which ever route you end up taking - enjoy your time in Ottawa.
