That would depend on the season. It can be much windier though.

Your TA is correct. We did the Mexican Riviera itinerary out of LA and it was pretty chilly north of Cabo. Windy as well... the ship really rocked the entire last day at sea. You won't be going as far north, though, so probably will not have the same conditions. Linda ----- CruiseDiva.com http://cruisediva.com |

I am considering cruising out of San Diego next February and going down
along the west cost of Mexico. What kind of weather can we expect and is it windy like described here at that time of year. Thanks Bernie Linda Coffman wrote: "Jackie" wrote in message... If it matters, the last day of this cruise is ALWAYS rough no matter the
weather conditions. Current, wind and wave action are always going against the ships in this shipping lane. Anything from medium to rough seas can be expected. The smallest seas we have hit were 5-7 feet. People we know went through 15-17 a few years ago. And of course there is the story "someone heard" about 25 foot seas. Anyway, the first 6 or 9 days of this cruise are very smooth barring storms. "Anything that doesn't kill you,,,,,,,just hurts a hell of a lot" JLP20 |

Mexican Riviera Weather/Temperature
Hello... I've taken 7 cruises down the Mexican coast in the last 3 years
(both spring and fall). ...I always figure that to sunbathe on deck, one has to wait 'till the ship rounds the horn at Cabo. In fact, for all my cruises, except one, there has always been a chilly NW wind blowing. This made it tough as one would either freeze lying in the shade, or become uncomfortably "burnt" trying to stay warm sitting in the sun. ....For approx. 1/3 of the cruises, the water was also a little choppy for this strech of water, too. ... Both coming and going (8-12 feet on the tv display, for approx. 1/2 the cruises). ...But the rocking has never progressed to an uncomfortable level. ....After the ship leaves Cabo, though, the ocean has "always" been extremely calm (whether crossing to Mazatlan or heading down to Acapulco). ...I love this part of the cruise, especially at night. The air is soo warm out on the balcony. ...Jon |

When? What itinerary? Been off the coast of San Diego in January, March, April and May. Each time the weather was very cool and seas were quite rough. Howie |
