Jersey City good alternative to MT?

That said, there aren't that many hotels in Jersey City. The only one I know about is a "No Tell Motel" on the NJ side of the Holland Tunnel. Why Midtown? NYC has a great public transport system. There are hotels in other parts of town and the outer boroughs. Use a travel agent or a good guide to hotels in NYC. Besides "a good deal" means many things to many people. Some friends of mine stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in NYC on a Family Package and thought that was a good deal. I have friends who stayed at The Milford Plaza on a weekend package deal and thought that was great. Then I have friends who stayed at The Plaza overlooking Central Park in a suite with concierge service and commented on the value for the dollar. Perhaps if you would mention a ballpark figure anyone offering suggestions on where to stay will have a better idea as to what to suggest. -- ________ To email me, Edit "xt" from my email address. We drove North Bergen one time. The motels listed below were pretty respectable looking.
