Reservations in Torres Del Paine, Chile
I'm going to visit Torres Del Paine national park in the third week of
January. I'm planning to stay in refugios in the national park, but am having difficulty making reservations. My emails to the travel agents suggested in Lonely Planet have gone unanswered. If I phone, they insist on an email (might have something to do with my Spanish :-) Does anyone have tips on how to make reservations for Refugio Las Torres and Refugio Pehoe before? Are there any phone numbers to contact the refugios directly? |

Refugio Las Torres was managed by Hosteria Las Torres when I was there in 2002, they are on the web on http://www.lastorres.cl But keep the difference between the refugio and the hosteria in mind when making contact with them (the hosteria is a posh hotel with elaborated pricing). Refugio Lago Pehoe is managed by http://www.andescape.cl Maybe you find working contact information on these web pages... Contacting refugio Lago Pehoe directly might be difficult, I think they only had short wave radio there. -- Till Kinstler http://www.phil.uni-sb.de/~till/ mobile: +49 179 54 41 451 |

Hello !
I=B4m a travel agent in Torres del Paine. http://www.patagonline.com/ Refigios are maybe full. But we can try it. But you can sleep in tents. Are you going to make trekking ? Because it depend of your trekking level but, you can make a beautiful route around the towers whit-out sleeping in the "refugios". regards. matias |
