Can you recommend a cheaper hotel in San Diego?
I was going to try Comfort Inn since the Comfort Inn in Portland was pretty good.

The Holiday Inn on the Bay has fairly decent prices and is within
walking distance to downtown, not too far from old town, balboa (sp?)
park and other sites.... The view (if you get a bayside room) is
absolutely beautiful. I was definetely impressed with this hotel and
plan to stay there again. If you have the Entertainment Book or know of
someone that does they offer a discounted rate (or at least my book does
-- I'm from Edmonton, Alberta Canada). Best of luck
