Then I would simply not fly with them. If others thought the same way, it
would only take a week before they dropped the issue. Imagine what would
happen if an airline went only one week without customers.

Assuming they actually go through with it, are they going to have
bathroom police? Usually there is a small line for the rear lav's.
What's to stop the person leaving the lav to hold the door open for
the next?

I gather there is some quesiton as to whether the suggestion
might not have been simply a publicity ploy. The suggestion
indicated that the toilet would require a one ppound coin. Since
many passengers might only be carrying euros....

It won't work as the passengers will just wait for the last guy to leave
and enter for free.

Watch out for expensive paper sales!

One thing they could do is require you insert the credit card IN the
toilet room to keep lights on and door locked. And they then bill you
per minute, charged to your credit card.

So if you don't insert the card, the toilet remains labeld "unoccupied"
and anyone can walk in.

OR

Toilet isn't flushed after use. It is flusehd when you enter the room
and pay for its use, at which point, the toilet flushes the previous
occupant's deposit(s). If you don't pay, you get no ventilation and no
flushing.

Reall cheap people will probably still use the toilet and the toilet
might eventually contain a LOT of unflushed contents. Eventually, no
matter how drunk the football hoodlums are, they will want to pay to
flush the toilet before they **** into it.

OR

By default, tere are cameras broadcasting the inside of the toilet. If
you want privacy, you need to pay to have the camera turned off.

And when a couple are having sex in toilet, then they don't have to
pay,, but passengers who wish to tune in to watch the action on the ISE
will have to insert their credit card and pay per view !!!

So, carry a small wedge to jam under the door.

I've flown Ryanair many times, but have never used the onboard toilet. So
I couldn't care less about such a charge.

I rarely use the toilet too, but I have a choice of many airlines, and I
would not fly them just on principal.
