long flight seating suggestions
Will be flying to London on NWA Airbus-330 this Dec and flight is 8-9
hours and wondering where best seating is regarding noise, comfort, etc. Wife wants window, aisle for me. Over wing, tailend, middle, any suggestions or thoughts welcome. |

Exit row seating will get you more leg room, but make sure your seat reclines, not all do. Also, "window" seats on Airbi don't actually have a window -- your wife could wind up sitting next a blank wall for the entire trip. 8-9 hours isn't that long, compared to trans-Pacific, but you can probably look up the specifics of your seats he www.seatguru.com |

But be careful when you do that, or you'll just get your knee banged up by the food cart instead of the seat in front of you. I saw the Northern Lights once from a window seat on the left side of a 747 on the way from Minneapolis to London. Other than that, there's not much to see out there. Louis |

The A330 has a 2-4-2 seating so you can get your window/aisle combination next to each other. I've flown Northwest's A330's between AMS and DTW - I'd want to sit in the 2 side (either window - the seating is 2-4-2 in economy; seating is relatively comfortable, especially compared to NW's DC10's which the Airbuses have replaced. jeff |
