a minor attack of cranial-rectal-insertion? (think about it, you'll
understand what it means)

Of course, if anything is going on in the plane, the pilot should

involved.

The commanding officer of the ship is ultimately responsible for
everything that happens on board and therefore may just wish to have
some little say in the decision-making process.

sorry, but these days the job of the pilot is to fly the aircraft and

NOT
come out of the flight deck.

Sez you.

So Britain can say they are complying with the US policy, and BALPA

Everyone's happy!

Until BALPA members start losing their jobs as the airlines run into
financial problems. Which they will if they cancel flights and it goes
on for the months Alistair Darling predicts.

Denmark, Sweeden and Portugal have refused to allow armed guards. If all of
europe got together and stood up to the bush regime, and reciprocated any
refusal of their national airline to enter the USA with refusal of a US
airline to enter their country, the Bush Regime would be forced to accept
defeat in this imperialistic move.

There is very little doubt that Bush's loyal terrier, Mr Bliar will force UK
pilots to comply with Bush regime rules.

Is that your considered response or did you just invoke the Pavlovian canines?
Incidentally, where is Sweeden? And how many daily flights are there between
Portugal and the USA?

Lol...you Sir, are responding to our "Pavlovian troll", a certain JF Mezei,
who starts slobbering and slathering like a rabid mad dog whenever the
subject of the US, Jews, or Israel comes up on this here newsgroup....

The tip - offs are his use of such phrases as "Bush regime", "Bush's loyal
terrier, Mr. Bliar [sic]", etc. , his confused "Franglish" syntax, and his
consistent mis - spellings of common words, the latest example here being
"Sweeden" and "Bliar"...oh, and if you check his headers he has a ".ca"
address.

Not one of those countries is very high on the target list, if they have
even got on it. As there doesn't seem to be any reports of any threats
being made to their aircraft they can take such a position as they know
there isn't going to be a need to put Sky Marshalls on their flights.

A change in that situation and commercial reality may well change their
minds.
