best Asian country to stay long term
what is the best country in asia to stay long term...
India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, Hong Kong, Taiwan ......? Which country has the most generous visa policy? For example: India gives you 6 month tourist visa for 60 USD. Thailand gives a 60 day tourist visa for 25 USD. Taiwan is strict about visas, so you have to register at a fake Chinese school to get a student visa. What is the best asian country for starting a business as a foreigner? For example-- a foreigner can start a business in India, but not in Thailand unless he contributes a lot of money or has a Thai wife. what is the best country for working as a foreigner? In some countries, they just pay you in cash and the government never finds out you're working. In which country are the people the nicest? I would say Thailand wins this one. Which country is the most relaxing, or the most fun to be in --- long term, not just two weeks at a beach. sarp |

This is an islamic state and islamic shariah law mandates you to be treated thus albeit the malaysian constitution states otherwise- you have the indians and chinese (non Hans) to play with for higher fees than thighland of course. Both are relatively inexpensive, easy living, and fun. thighland is cheaper, mainly thai speaking, english is understandable in my. nevertheless both countries are as corrupt. if you want the best of both worlds, stay at the thai-malaya border e.g. padang besar, bukit kayu hitam, betong or sungei golok- that way, when you are wanted in any of the two countries, you can just cross the border ;-))) ==end, and/or end quote || When replying respond to the original author, NOT ME PLEASE == -pluto |

Best depends on your budget, interests, and what you intend to actually do there. Which country has the most generous visa policy? For example: India gives you 6 month tourist visa for 60 USD. Thailand gives a 60 day tourist visa for 25 USD. Taiwan is strict about visas, so you have to register at a fake Chinese school to get a student visa. Keep in mind that the work visa policies may be very different than the residence visa policies. I understand that Thailand has cracked down on Westerners trying to stay long-term by getting repeat tourist visas. Japan gives a 3-month tourist visa on arrival, but you need an employer to sponsor you to get a longer term work visa. What is the best asian country for starting a business as a foreigner? For example-- a foreigner can start a business in India, but not in Thailand unless he contributes a lot of money or has a Thai wife. I don't think it's very easy in any of the countries. I do know that there are a fair number of foreign-run businesses in Tokyo and Osaka, and Hong Kong has many businesses run by non-Chinese Asians (Indians, Filipinos, Indonesians...). Singapore might be another option. what is the best country for working as a foreigner? In some countries, they just pay you in cash and the government never finds out you're working. Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan - in the other countries you are unlikely to find paid work without connections or special skills. In which country are the people the nicest? I would say Thailand wins this one. Japan, South Korea, or Thailand. Which country is the most relaxing, or the most fun to be in --- long term, not just two weeks at a beach. I like large cities, so I would say that Tokyo and Hong Kong are the most fun places long-term. |
