GPT - HIKING AND MOUNTAINEERING TOUR YANGON-BAGAN-MOUNT
VICTORIA-BAGAN-MANDALAY-YANGON (13 DAYS/12 NIGHTS) Day 1. Yangon Arrival Arrive at Yangon Airport, and met by our knowledgeable tour guide and transfer to the Hotel. After lunch introductory tour of Shwedagon Pagoda, a world renowned stupa. Famous for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture. Walking Tour around Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, China Town, India Town & old colonial style buildings; Kandawgyi Royal Lake and Karawaik Hotel.Overnight in Yangon. Day 2. Yangon - Bagan (Flight) Afer breakfast transfer to Yangon airport for flight to Bagan (Nyaung Oo). Arrive at Nyaung Oo Airport and transfer to the hotel. Starting the morning city tour by visit to Nyaung Oo market. Proceed to Lacquerware industry; Shwezegon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar Stupa; Gupyauk kyi; Htilo-minlo and Kyansitha Umin; After lunch visit to Archaeological Museum; Ananda Temple and Myinkaba village to see the simple way of Myanmar life. Sunset seeing at Mingalazedi. Overnight in Bagan. Day 3. Bagan - Mount Popa After breakfast drive to Kyaukpadaung for visit to enchanting Mount Popa, a great extinct volcano, 50 km SE of Bagan, standing out as a green-clad-landmark in the dry zone. Tour highlights: Toddy palm groves and jaggery cottage industry; Kyauk padaung Market; Popa village and the famous Popa-Taungkalat; a tower-like volcanic plug lying on the south western slope of Mount Popa. Evening back to Bagan to take leisure in Bagan. Overnight in Bagan. Day 4. Bagan Base Camp of Mount Victoria (Chin State) After breakfast drive by Land Rover (4 wheel drive) to the base camp of Mt-Victoria. There are two ways for the wonderful trip to Mt. Victoria. A : Drive for 19 miles and cross the Anawrahta Bridge to reach Seik Phyu. Then continue to Kazoon Ma (25 miles) and Saw (40 miles). After Saw drive 12 miles to reach Kanpelet (the base camp of Mt. Victoria). Overnight at the base camp. (or) B : Cross the Ayeyarwady River by zet ferry to reach Kyun Chaung. Then continue to Myittchay-Kanma (15 miles) Pauk (27 miles). Kyauk Htu (32 miles) and Kangyi (8 miles). After Kangyi drive 10 miles to reach Min dat (The base camp of Mt. Victoria). Overnight at the base camp. Day 5. Hiking and Mountaineering trip to Mt. Victoria. Early morning starting for the wonderful trip to Mt-Victoria. Mt - Victoria (Nat Ma Taung) is located at Kanpelet, district of Mindat in Chin State. Mt. Victoria is about 10500 ft high. It is the highest mountain in Chin State. Starting the hiking trip uphill to Chi Chaung camp 4 miles away from the base camp where there can receive 12 pax to stay. Overnight at the camp. Day 6. A trip along the steep mountain side. After breakfast beginning the mountaineering trip from Chi Chaung camp to Aye Sakhan (Aye camp). Its take 6 hours to 9 hours for 12 miles long trip. Night stop at Aye Sakhan. Day 7. Top of the Mt. Victoria Atfer breakfast continue the uphill climb to the top of the Mt-Victoria. Arrived on the top of Mt. Victoria where there has the Zinaman-Aung Pagoda established. Enjoy the wonderful vantage point for panoramic view. Night stop at Kyar Sakhan camp near the top of the mountain. Notice: The season is ever raining season and temperature is about (3 degree C - 10 degree C) on the top of the mountain. The hiker and the mountaineer should bring the rain coat and overcoat for your trip. The fresh stream water can fine easy at there. The trip to Mt. Victoria is very interesting. Its also can learn for Botany & Zoology; Birds watching and butterflies watching ; (Chin, Gwin, Makan and Yindoo) hill tribes; tattoo Chin tribes and their culture show. Excursion for their traditional weaving village to see their simple ways of life. Most of their religious are Christian. Some of them are Buddhist. A few people are believe in spirit. They shrine the spirit posts for worship. The tribes earn their living by hunting and farming at the bank of the mountain. They are very proud to hang the horn at their home. They also enjoy to smoke their traditional pipes. Every year on 20th, Feb: they celebrate the Chin National Day. The tattoo Chin Tribes also come to hte festival. Day 8. Back to the foot of the mountain After breakfast back to the foot of the mountain base camp, Kanptlet (or) Mindat. Participate the traditional culture show and (campfire festivity) at Kanpetlet. Overnitht at the base camp. Day 9.Base camp-Bagan Drive back to Bagan to take leisure Over night in Bagan. Day 10.Bagan-Mandalay (Coach) Afer breakfast driver to Mandalay. Arrive at Mandalay and visit to the afternoon sightseeing with the famous Mahamuni Pagoda Proceed to visit traditinal handicraft workshops-mable work, gold leaf making and bronzeware making. Overnight in Mandalay. Day 11.Mandalay (Amarupura) After breadfast excuesion to Amarapura, and ancient capital 11kms of Mandalay. U Pein Bridge 1.2 km long wooden bridge over the seasonal Taung-tha-man lake, built in 1784. Then proceed to Mandalay Royal Palace; Shwenandaw monastery made of carved teak, Kuthodaw known as the world's biggest book for its stone slabs of Buddhists scriptures and Mandalay Hill (Sunset). Overnight in Mandalay. Day 12.Mandalay-Yangon (Flight) After breakfasst visit to the Zyacho market; Silk weaving and tapestry work. After lunch transfer to Mandalay Airport for flight to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon Airport transfer to the your hotel and evening sightseeing. Overnight in Yangon Day 13.Yangon Departure (Evening) After breakfast visit to Bogyoke Market for shopping.
