Pike's Place market is a tourist trap, but worth a day or so. Space Needle, maybe half a day, if you want to go up. But I wouldn't eat there. We like the UW area, the campus is beautiful, and lots of interesting restaurants along University Ave. The new main library downtown is worth of a photo op. For food, walk around the Belltown area, just north of downtown. -- jtc |

I would suggest instead the Bainbridge Island ferry and a walk around the island. Also the underground tour. ************* DAVE HATUNEN ) ************* * Tucson Arizona, out where the cacti grow * * My typos & mispellings are intentional copyright traps * |

I have many friends and family who would go for desert only (about the same cost as the tickets up). I'd echo what others have said. Snoqualmie Falls (east of Seattle) can be beautiful, but is also touristy. While doing your day at Pike's Place, you can also head down to the waterfront/pier area. We always enjoyed the aquarium. Prepare for gray, drizzly weather. If you get something else, great! -Robert |
