Default Bicycling Trails around Stowe Vermont

Hi, could you recommend some bike trails around Stowe Vermont with
good foliage views. I prefer roads not shared with motors. Any
recommendations to non-crowed back roads with great views are also
welcome. Or any roads with streams, bridges, or waterfalls, etc.?
Thanks for the help in advance!

Stowe's own bike path is fantastic. You might
also try Burlington or South Burlington's. No
bike path that I know of allows any kind of
motorized vehicle.

Unfortunately, foliage season is Vermont's
busiest tourist season, so finding quiet roads
might be a problem. You might try Hazen's Notch
Road (Rte. 58) starting in Montgomery Center or
the Lincoln-Ripton Road up to Bristol Notch
Road, starting in Lincoln. Both are dirt roads
with spectacular views. The paved roads around
Lincoln and Montgomery Center are also great for
views and covered bridges etc.

Also great are the back roads in southern
Quebec, notably around Knowlton (which has its
own long bike path).

Keep in mind that foliage peaks early up north,
and by mid-October you may well be past-peak
viewing.
