Actually, what he was accused of, was in avoiding policies which
could have helped prevent the spread. It was true, but of course
such a statement also avoids the anciliary reasons he didn't want
to pursue those policies.

Have ANYTHING to do with? Surely you jest? Education of any sort
will have SOME influence upon political viewpoints. It may not
be a guarentor of anything, but surely it has an influence.

Which presupposes that selective history isn't real. All history
instruction has to be selective by fact. One can't study every single
fact of the past. What one studies will be driven to a great degree
upon what one is interested in learning. What one is interested in
learning is closely related to what drives political leanings.

Sure, it will affect political viewpoint, but does not answer my
question which was poorly worded. Devil says that if someone has a
PHD in History then this person is not Republican. I question that
statement.
