Have ANYTHING to do with? Surely you jest? Education of any sort
will have SOME influence upon political viewpoints. It may not
be a guarentor of anything, but surely it has an influence.

Which presupposes that selective history isn't real. All history
instruction has to be selective by fact. One can't study every single
fact of the past. What one studies will be driven to a great degree
upon what one is interested in learning. What one is interested in
learning is closely related to what drives political leanings.
