Default South Africa: What is the max on withdrawing cash at ATM?

Hi there,

I go to Cape Town next week. What is the maximum amount of cash you can
withdraw from a cash mashine (ATM)? I have got a VISA+ symbol on my
card.

Thank you.

Regards,
Andreas

Usually one thousand Rand is allowed. But sometimes I managed to take 2000
out the ATM...
If you need more than just visit more ATM's to get your hands on more cash!

Reg. Hans.

That depends on the bank. On one of my accounts there is a US$4 charge
for each foreign transaction. It pays to make your transactions few and
large.

Yes you're right. But my bank doesn't charge me anything ;-)
