Crossing in 2009? Also "The Gathering 2009"

Hello Everyone

There is going to be a large Clan Gathering in 2009 in Scotland. The
people who are organizing this are trying to figure out if there is
going to be enough interest in doing a crossing to travel from North
America to the U.K. to justify charting a ship. If you are interested
in doing a crossing from North America to the U.K in 2009, you might

The idea of "The Gathering 2009" is to have anyone who has Scottish
Ancestry, or who has an interest in Scotland to visit Scotland.

I am making my own plans to attend. If you read the newsletters post
on www.thegathering2009.com, you find out they are trying to see if
there is enough interest in doing a crossing to justify chartering a
ship. They are also working on getting air from/to Scotland so it is
affordable.

There are a number of different arranged tours on the above website.
I just though there might be some people on the rec.travel.cruises
newsgroup who might want to do a crossing in 2009. If people want to
do a crossing in 2009, they need to send info at thegathering2009.com
email saying they would be interested in this.

I would like to travel back to Scotland the way my ancestors came over
to North America, but I will settle for flying to the U.K. if I must.
