How to fly back home without money or papers
A canadian citizen, kidnapped by americans in Afghanistan 2 years ago and kept
at Gantanamo bay was released when americans admitted to themselves that the guy had nothing to do with terrorism. The problem is that since they had denied to Canada that they had kidnapped any canadians, they decided to litterally drop him back into the middle of afghanistan without any papers, without any money. You can imagine the troubles he had trying to get back to Canada. (apology to americans who are told to believe that gantamo bay is a nice resrot, but anyone held against his wishes, and not charged with anything, not given access to his embassy or lawyers is, by many definitions: kidnapped). |

Why not ask the Canadian consulate for assistance?

How to fly back home without money or papers
Should have just shot him in the back of the head and dumped his body
in the middle of afghanistan without any papers. Problem solved. The situation is a bit more cloudy than you acknowledge. And the family is primarily blaming Canada, not the US. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A14482-2003Nov25.html |

When he was picked up by the US in Afghanistan, did he have money and a Canadian passport? I would guess not. So, they put him back in Afghanistan in the same condition as when he left, correct?? |

In other words they simply returned him where they found him. As is, was is. |
