Default Viking River Boat Question

Can anyone shed some light on why the middle deck aft cabins on the
Viking Neptune (or Pride or Spirit - they look like sisterships) are a
lower class than the forward ones?

I'm wondering if there is significant engine vibration, or some other
reason why the aft cabins are less desirable.

(Deck plan is at
http://www.vikingrivers.com//wsDeckP...ShipCod e=VNE
..)

Thanks for any information.

look again the middle deck goes up in price as you move back D to C to B
(the only bad cabins are the lower deck ones and the D and C IIRC are
below the lounge forward. The B and A are the prime spots.

Duh. You're absolutely right - I fuddled the colors. Thanks.

I was a bit leery of the A cabins because the upper deck is right
above them and there will be foot traffic there. Any advice about
that?

Walt:

I can't remember any of the cabins as being bad (affected by noise or
vibration) on the Viking Spirit.

Not much foot traffic up there even in the day time, but at night not a
problem

Default Viking River Boat Question

The only cabins you really have to avoid are the ones under the pursors
desk. We talked to one couple that were under there and asked to be move
after a day. There was no carpet and I gather the person was up walking a
lot at night right over their head.

Default Viking River Boat Question

Do they have a casino, pool, hot tubs, stage shows,an extensive menu with
steaks,roast beef,chicken etc.
I hear they have local fish, most of the time. I can't eat fish.
Why do they cost so much more than regular cruise ships that have all
of the above?
