Paris in autumn
If you had to choose the two weeks that had the best chance of
displaying Paris in autumn colors (i.e. trees), when would that be? The last week of September and the first week of October? Pete |

Correctiàn: here is a weather report I published here in 1997 Oct 13 1997, 3:00*am * * Starting Saturday, which was a day of rain, less so on Sunday and now on Monday, with it being cloudy and cooler, one has to acknowledge Fall has arrived. The trees are telling us too because the leaves are changing colors. *It is, afterall mid-October and after 2 or so weeks of non-stop warm and sunny weather , we are ready to pay our dues. |

There are b etter places to see leaves for sure (US New England, St Lawrence River in Canada anyone) but Paris like New York does have trees and parks and these do carry the charm of the season. Take the 1 line to Chateau Vincennes lots of trees and still arguably Paris. -- Joseph Coulter Cruises and Vacations http://www.josephcoulter.com/ |

Paris is far from being the best place to see the autumn colours...
Nobody asked for the best place. Thanks, Martin, you read my mind. I want to see Paris with as much color as possible. If I wanted to only see autumn colors, I might visit Finland or Sweden, places with many trees. Another advantage of seeing Paris in autumn is that there will be far fewer people around. And of course, I won't to worry about really hot days, days so hot that I am tempted to just sit in the shade somewhere. Pete |
