Moon Palace/ Cancun

What is the beach at the Moon Palace like? Is this property worth the $$$$
we're thinking about paying?

The Moon Palace itself I think is great except for the beach. There is a
problem having to do with the tides or lack of wave action that cause seaweed
to constantly wash ashore. They try to maintain it during the day, but it that
just doesn't work. The restaurants, staff and pool areas are good in my
opinion. The other drawback to the Moon Palace is that there is nothing else in
the area, a cab ride to town is $16 each way, if you plan on going into the
town often, this may not be the place. They offer a shuttle service, but the
timing and capacity are problems.

The Moon Palace is
definately worth the money - great food, great facilities and gorgeous
rooms. Don't worry about the location unless you're interested in
Cancun, which is very commercialised and tacky.
