Meter + 100 baht + tip. Get the taxi at the marked Taxi Queue.

If you're asking the exact price it can vary dramatically depending on
time of day, weather and traffic. It's anywhere from a 30 minute to 3
hour ride depending on those factors.

Of course.

But what do we have to expect if the traffic is not too bad? From Don
Muang I usually paid something around 250B (incl fees), sometimes a
bit more. Is the new airport farer out?

From Pratunam? Yes. And the traffic is usually worse.

Traffic is not that bad in that time.
What can I aspect to pay to pratunam?

Thanks Frans

HI I asked the same question 2 weeks ago on this newsgroup and got the same
unanswered questions and all we wanted was a ball park figure. So much for
the info value of this newsgroup...probably will get a mass of rebuttals to
this entry but I guess everone who answered did not want to diswcourage our
arrival at LOS so maybe they are all right...The public bus still sounds
great to me...anything to experience the haphazard and risky drivers of the
taxis......a truly dangerous experience 50% of the time...I have been to LOS
24 times and each time the taxi ride from DM airport was more risky than a
roller coaster ride.

Well, I think nobody gives a rough figure because
- the fare depends too much on actual traffic situation
- if someone says "it's about 500 B", he'll get flamed by others who know
better by far
- everybody claims to know, but doesn't know at all.
- [...enter your own opinion...]

Just guessing...

OK, to give you a rough indication of cost, here's my guess:
assuming there's no traffic jam and driver's paradise on the road,
comparing to Don Muang - Sathorn, I'd say 400 +/-50B + 100Baht
assuming you're stuck in a traffic jam for let's say 2h, expect to pay
about 150B more

Maybe some Bangkok resident can provide us with the current per-minute
price and the per-kilometer price of the taxis (I doubt that anyone will
do so).

About 6 Bt/km + 35 Bt for first 2 km.

Damn, beat me to it. :-) This hasn't changed in a long time. Also keep
in mind that highway tolls and the airport fee must be paid by the
passenger.
