Default plastic booze bottles.

Sailing on carnival ...
if I pack 1 or 2 plastic booze bottles in ziplock bags wrapped in a hand
towel in checked luggage ...
1. are they pretty safe from breaking?
2. does carnival inspect checked luggage?
thanks

Put it in bubble wrap. If it is not excessive, you should be fine. Don't
push it.

When I was on Carnival Fantasy out of New Orleans last week I had a 2 liter
bottle of Pepsi One, twelve 1/2 liter bottles of Nestle purified water and
two 1/2 liter bottles of vodka disguised in Nestle water bottles in my
luggage and I got thru okay. We had three people in our cabin so we don't
put all the liquids in the same piece of luggage.

Reasonably so. No such thing as a sure thing. Except gravity. And
scientists are working on that one.

2. does carnival inspect checked luggage?

Yes and no. I've heard of people getting several fifths on and others
who couldn't get a bottle of wine aboard. It's a crap shoot. But
they will give it back to you at the end of the cruise.

thanks
