I was looking to travel to Western Europe to study language (Spanish,
German, perhaps French.)

I would like to work and learn at the same time any suggestions? Especially
websites.

Learning a language in another country is a great idea. As far as work
goes, some foreign students do, but you may be violating your visa
regulations.

How much does this vary from one EU country to another? In the UK, non
EU/EEA students can work for up to 20 hours a week on a student visa-
more if it's specific to their course requirements.

Most places won't let you work on a student visa, so you would need a
work visa (very difficult to get) and then take classes on the side.
There's a problem called the "Work in Britain" program that gives
short-term work visas for Americans under 29 (students only?) to spend
2-3 months there. I thought they also have it for France and Germany,
but I'm not sure. If the language is more important to you than being
in Europe, I know you can get a short-term work visa for Quebec, or you
could go to a part of South America where it is very cheap to live and
then study Spanish or Portuguese and not need to work.
