We want to book a hotel in Vegas on the
30th of december... close to the strip... around $50

Hotel prices fluctuate considerably from week to week
in Vegas. Prices will probably be high on Dec 30 as the
town will be full of folks who've come to celebrate New
Year's Eve.

So unless you stumble on a real bargain someplace (and
remember that you generally get what you pay for),
you'll probably need to go a lot higher. Or else get a room in
a less-expensive part of town and take a cab to the strip.

I'd suggest posting your question to the Las Vegas
newsgroup -- alt.vacation.las-vegas

James

We want to book a hotel in Vegas on the 30th of december. It is for 1

night
cos we are flying back home then.
The hotel doesn;t have to be luxe but it would be nice if it is close

to
the
Strip.
Say around $50,- or so.

You are hitting Las Vegas at one of the busiest time of the year. You'd

be
lucky to find a room, least of all a $50 a night room.

Anything is welcome

Thx
John

I would be very interested to hear what hotel you found for $45 on December
30th. Most of the medium to very nice hotels are charging $250 - $300 at
that time.

That is probably the busiest time of the year in Las Vegas. The place
is insanely crowded than due to the New Years holiday. Check the
web site at http://www.cheapovegas.com but anything anywhere near the
Strip is going to be more than $50 a night on the day before New Years
and most Strip hotels require more than one night's stay.

Hard to say without knowing which hotel offered you that rate.
