Cheap stay in Barbados

Heading to Barbados to hang with friends during Xmas...wave sailing and what
not..

They are staying at Silver Sands..anything nearby cheap? I have to do this
one on a budget..

Any cheap car rentals?

If I recall correctly, the Silver Sands is at the southern tip if the
island in the Christ Church parish. It is pretty far from everything
except the airport.

Car rental in Barbados is quite expensive and many of the cars are not
well maintained. In the past I have rented from Corbin's and Sunny
Isle.

Why not try for Dover Beach Hotel in St Lawrence Gap. Not neighbour to your
friends, but still pretty near.
Car rental? We have used Coconut car rental, www.coconutcars.com and been
very satisfied with their service and also their cars.
But it can sometimes be good to call around to bargain. In slow periods some
companies go pretty far down in price. But I guess christmas is not the time
to get a good deal.

Well, we decided to forego the trip..air prices are obscene. Actually will
head south but staying in the USA..thanks for the tips..
