Rhapsody of the Sea 9 Nov 03
Who all's going on Rhapsody of the Sea 9 Nov 03 out of Galveston? We've been
on several Carnival cruises thought it was time to try Royal Caribbean. Any past cruisers on the 7 day what did you think. Best of luck to ya'll. Thnaks |

Rhapsody of the Sea 9 Nov 03
We did Rhapsody in September. It was a great cruise and a very friendly
ship. It was very different sailing out of Texas compared to Florida or San Juan. We even bought a country and western CD from one of the bands playing on the ship that week. We have done Carnival cruises in the past. We now prefer Royal Caribbean. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. -- Tom "d" wrote in message ... "Patricia Martin Steward" wrote in message ... I'm taking the Rhapsody later in November. One of the comments about the cruise was that there are lots of Texans on the ships out of Galveston. I plan to enjoy myself anyway. ?;^) LOL Patricia! It is because of all those Texans, your cruise will be most enjoyable!! You will find Texans as one of the most friendliest people anywhere! This coming from a Pennsylvania born adopted Texan! The Norwegian Sea was our first cruise out of Galveston. Most of the passengers were from Texas and we had a ball. Be sure to try some Shiner Bock beer brewed here in Texas! I don't care for beer, but I do like it with pizza! Will be trying out the Rhapsody in February with Lori's Mardi Gras Group and am really looking forward to it. Be sure to post how it all went. Happy Cruising and welcome to Texas! --Jean |

Let me tell you a funny story cruise story about Texans. On one of our early cruises (I forget which ship), there was an international night in the dining room. Each table of people from various countries stood up to sing their national anthem. All of a sudden, a table of Texans stood up and sang "the eyes of Texas are upon you." Howard |

Jean We have some great friends in Texas, and used to travel back there often, just to visit. After adopting a cruise intensive lifestyle, we abandoned our regular trips to Dallas. With all this Texas talk, I'm feeling a real need to visit again. Howard - who greatly misses going into a nightclub full of strangers and leaving with a bunch of new friends. |

One of my fondest memories of Texas is how tolerant people were about whatever anyone else did, as long as he did it on his own property. I was 26 year old, long-haired New Yorker, when Eileen and I moved to Texas. A year later, we bought our first house in a nice, middle class suburban community. Being city kids, it was actually the first house either of us had ever lived in. While the house was being built, we also built a beautiful in-ground pool in the backyard, with the typical, Texas 6' cedar fence around the yard. At first, I used my new found privacy, to swim nude. In fact, during the 13 years we lived in that house, I probably wore a swimsuit no more than a dozen times. One of the things I learned to do in Texas was mow a lawn. Given the Texas heat, I found it very refreshing to jump in the pool repeatedly while I was mowing. It didn't take me very long to figure out that there was no point mowing in a swimsuit. So I began to mow in the nude. As time passed, I passed more and more time naked (or should I say nekid) in my own back yard. The great thing is that while most of our neighbors were aware of this (our next door neighbor was 6' 6" tall), not one of them ever said a single unkind word. I love Texas. Howard |

And they are sincere~that is why we can't leave~too many very good friends who will go out of their way to do anything for you when you need them! You will have to come back to Texas for a visit. April is our best month-not too hot and a lot of fiestas going strong! --Jean |
