Trying to book a ferry crossing from France to southern England on 7 June.
Just how crowded will it be in Caen then during the D-Day 60th Anniversary?
Would a person be better off choosing Le Havre or even Dieppe as a departure
port? tia

If you can book a place on the ferry your OK. I don't think there'll be any
particuler problem on the 7th in terms of circulation. The 6th is another
matter.
Oustreham ferry terminal is 10miles from Caen. I don't think President Bush
will be walking the streets of Caen on the 7th.
