honolulu restaurants
"maspen" wrote in message alkabouttravelling.com...
i am interesting in learning names of favorite restaujrants...both upscale and local All Upscale: Alan Wong's in my favorite on Oahu - ask to sit at the chef's counter. Also very good is Hoku's & I've heard great things about Chef Mavro's. Avoid the Ihilani's restaurants - overpriced & not very good. We spent a week there - loved the hotel, hated the food. For lunch, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus Ala Moana is wonderful, so is the Pineapple Room at Macy's. For old school formal - waiters in tuxes, flaming dishes, dancing, wonderful views, the Hanahana (?) room at the top of the Sheraton Waikiki is fun. Roy's is great & we enjoyed Indigo downtown - like dining in a treehouse with excellent food & service. |
