We did a cruise last fall and this newsgroup way a great help to us. Now we
are planning to take the kids, 3 teenagers, to Florida in August - most
likely Orlando. Are there any sites or newsgroups you could recommend for
good info and deals?

For Disney, the newsgroup rec.arts.disney.parks , also be sure to check
http://www.allearsnet.com and http://www.mousesavers.com .

You may also want to contact a travel agent that does nothing but
Disney - they know all of the ins and outs.

I'm sure that there are others that can refer you to non-Disney sites.

For what it is worth, you might want to consider a 3 or 4 day Disney Cruise
(Disney Wonder) in combination with a Disney 4 or 3 day Walt Disney World
hotel stay - for a 7 day package deal. This is a very popular combination
from Disney, which includes virtually everything, even theme park admission
tickets. On the same hand, my wife and I are booked on a 7-day Disney Cruise
(Disney Magic) to the Eastern Caribbean, plus opted for another 6 days at
the Walt Disney World Resort itself. The only thing not included in this
package price was the theme park tickets, which I just ordered on-line, so
we can pick them up at Will-Call at any hotel once we check in.

This is just a thought, by may make things a bit easier. Personally, I would
contact Disney Cruise Line yourself for more information, if you are
interested.

Thanks,
John Sisker, Agency

Good idea, John.

Be sure that you price the Disney Land and Sea packages against the
purchasing of the components separately - sometimes it is best to
purchase separately, other times the combination is the better deal -
run the numbers both ways yourself or have your agent do it.

I concur, and applaud John Sisker for the fine example he is setting

exchange and discussions in this newsgroup.
