In the heart of exotic North Pakistan, Fairy Meadow is situated in
the foots gin of Nanga Parbat at the Western edge of the Himalayan
Range. It is amazingly beautiful piece of paradise, in the shadow of
the gigantic massif of Nanga Parbat, the 9th highest peak in the world
at 26,600 feet (above the clouds where jet liners fly). Nanga Parbat
is a Persian word, which means Naked Mountain, the local People call
Diamer (Monarch of the God). It is also known as Killer Mountain.
The meadows are lush green alpine pastures situated in the middle of a
pine forest at an altitude of 3,306 m. The meadows have been a
thrilling destination for polo lovers, spending couple of days here,
having a touch of real adventure.

Fairy Meadows has been a source of enchantment since long for back
packers, climbers, wildlife researchers, photographers, painters &
geologists, besides nature lovers. The pine forests skirting Fairy
Meadows are perhaps one of the virgin forests in the north of
Pakistan, and are home to a number of species of birds and wildlife.
The site overlooks the Raikot Glacier and provides a majestic view of
the North Face of Nanga Parbat, commonly known as the Raikot Face.

Popular Attractions:
Most tourists who come to see Nanga Parbat stay at Fairy Meadow, which
is at an elevation of 3,300 m (10,827 ft); tents and simple food are
available there. On the route to the meadow lie two small villages,
Tatu and Fenturi; nearby the meadow is Tarar Lake. Many visitors visit
up to the standard (northern) base camp of Nanga Parbat.
Accessibility:
Fairy Meadows is connected to Chilas and Gilgit which is well
connected by air with Islamabad (weather dependent) and by road with
Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Skardu and Chitral. You can take a flight to
Gilgit from the capital of the country and reach Gilgit.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Islamabad
Arrive Islamabad reception, meeting and assisting upon arrival. Assist
in custom clearance and transfer to centrally air conditioned hotel
Blue Sky.
In the afternoon we will make a city sightseeing tour Rawalpindi and
Islamabad, which offers a great contrast of culture, archaeology and
planning. We visit to Shah Faisal mosque, Shakar Parian, Damane Koh
and a shopping trip to Supper Market to explore the market for
carpets and rugs gathered here from Iran, Afghanistan, China,
Uzbekistan etc . Bar b Q dinner in Afghan Restaurant in real Afghan
style. Overnight in hotel.

Day 02: Islamabad - Chilas
After breakfast, we depart from Islamabad and arrive at Besham
crossing the famous towns of Abbottabad and Mansehra. Chilas was on
the ancient caravan trail over the Babusar Pass into India and on the
Indus trail of Besham, Chilas is standing under the shadow of world
famous Nanga Parbat. After a long day aboard, we arrive at Chilas and
transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day03:
Drive to Raikot Bridge (1 to 2 hours). Change the transport and hire
4 x 4 local Jeep. Drive to tattoo village (1 to 2). Tato: The steep
and difficult ascent on a rocky trail will lead the group to a small
hamlet of Tato which is comprized of few clay lofts scattered around.
This village is inhabited by the upright and fierce yet very
hospitable Chilas whose origin is Kohistan. Tea break and start
trekking to Fairy Meadow (4 to 5 hours), overnight in camps or huts.


Day04: Rest Day
Day Free to explore lush green meadows and forest of fairy meadow.
The local people believe that this beautiful place is an abode of
fairies and ghosts. The lush green plateau presents some of the most
spectacular sights one can ever witness. Overnight in tents.

Day05:
Day excursion to Nanga Parbat Base Camp (3986meters, 4 to
5 hours One Way walk), en route visit Biyal Camp.

Day06:
Same way back to Raikot Bridge and drive to Hunza (200km, 5 to 6
hours), overnight in hotel.



Day07 (Option1):
Drive to Passu (1 to 2 hours) start trekking to Yunzbin Pass
(3200meters, 4 to 5 hours). The best view of batura glacier and passu
glacier. Drive back to hunza, overnight in hotel.

Day07 (Option2):
Drive to hussani village (1 to 2 hours) start trek to burit lake and
passu glacier and finish in passu village (3 to 4 hours). ). Drive
back to hunza, overnight in hotel.

Day08:
Day Free for the exploration of Hunza valley overnight in hotel.

Day09:
Drive to Besham (420km, 10 to 11 hours drive), overnight in hotel.

Day10:
Drive to Islamabad (300km, 06 to 07 hours), overnight in hotel.

Day11:
Transfer to Islamabad International Airport for fly back to
destination.
