Default Shanghai/Hangzhou in July -- guide us, interpret for us?

Can Westerners visiting China hire an English-speaking
guide for a day or more who will drive them around and
interpret where needed? Or is that whole concept hopelessly
antiquated? We'll be in either Shanghai or Hangzhou
(haven't decided yet) July 16-23 and would be interested
in such services.

I've already found such services advertised on Craigslist.

Sure you can, but not really needed in those two cities. An up to
date guide book will do very nicely.
