on the combined results of the 2 separate airlines in 2005.
In 2006, Brussels Airlines carried 5.942 million passengers.

Two thirds of them chose to fly with SN Brussels Airlines; the
remaining third opted for low-cost carrier Virgin Express.

In absolute figures, this means that SN Brussels Airlines saw its
passenger number rise from 3.697 to 3.957 million. Low-fare Virgin
Express carried 1.985 million customers, or 155,000 more than in 2005.

The 2 companies' occupancy rate also rose in comparison to the year
2005.
Brussels Airlines goes east
The airline company intends to further expand its network of
destinations. It has plans for more flights to both European and
intercontinental destinations.

More specifically, Brussels Airlines has plans for the Eastern part of
Europe. As from next week and in view of the German presidency of the
European Union, the airline will run 5 daily flights between Brussels
and Berlin Tempelhof.

The number of flights to Eastern Europe will also increase
considerably. Starting in February 2007, there will be more regular
flights to Budapest and Prague.

The airline is furthermore investigating the feasibility of flying on
the Polish city of Cracow from the summer of 2007.
