Cell Phone Annoyance

Sure, that's a reasonable request. Naturally, I can't give you a list of my
private lurkers, for that would unjustly subject them to the same harassment
as directed towards me. And that would certainly be unfair to them; after
all, that's why they're lurkers to begin with.

However, if they do want you and others to really know who they really are,
that would naturally be up to them. Yet, you know some of these people
already. They are the one's who do communicate here on occasion, yet don't
always agree with you and some of the others. And unfortunately, like
myself, they too end up getting waylaid in what could really be accomplished
on this newsgroup, all simply because of this lack of understanding and
willingness towards an open, polite and intelligent conservation.

Everyone is already well aware of your inner group, friends and cruise
cliques that has been constantly mentioned by you and a few others on this
newsgroup for years. Likewise, I'm sure we can all conquer up our own list
as well, if we so wanted to and/or felt it was necessary.

The real issue here is knowing the difference between agents and shills,
friends and partners, and passengers and cliques. Your obvious limitations
only favors your select inner group at the expense of all others. That's a
sad limitation, and possibly an injustice of what you could bring to the
table, if only you didn't always have this chip on your shoulder.

have cruised together for years, gotten together for lunches and know each

Here is a good way to curb loud and rude people on a cell phone.
Sit down next to them when they are being loud and rude, pick up your cell
phone and without making a call, put your cell phone to your ear and in a
loud voice say: BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

Hey John... did I ever tell you about my new invention? It is an Elephant
Repellant Protection System... ERPS for short. Basically, it is a system
that keep elephants from getting on your property and tearing up your lawn.
I put the first one in my neighborhood for free... just as a test.

MASSIVELY EFFECTIVE!!!! I know it is working because no one in this
neighborhood has seen a single elephant since ERPS was installed. Not one.
But we know they are out there...... just waiting..... waiting......
invisible and non-existent. Kind of like your "lurkers".

(I remember when John "outed" me as selling "suitcase liners". I still
wonder which one of his "lurkers" put that bug in his ear and made him look
like a fool)

Believe me, being in the kill file of some on this newsgroup is actually an
honor, something to strive for. Based on their personality, demeanor and
caliber of input, they say next to nothing anyway. Unfortunately, their
claim to have some of us in their kill file certainly doesn't lend
creditability to these people, for they always seem to reply to what
everyone says anyway, in spite of their claim. I guess it is suppose to
sound good to their co-hearts, and maybe they think they are hurting our
feelings. But, believe me, one can only wish they they would kill file us in
all categories as well. For the least anyone hears from them, except for
their inner clique of course, the better.
