Default Zambia visa now $100 for US citizens

I haven't seen this news posted here.
It's a multiple entry visa good for 3 years and the only
visa available for US citizens.
Different rules and fees for other countries.

Do you also know what the price is for Europeans and South Africans? Can
remember that Tanzania was 50 USD in 2002... Seems that Zambia gets a little
bit expensive, although tourism is booming there since Zimbabwe is out of
business.

Thanks,

Corné.

The price is $25 (information of some months ago).
A local tour company can arrange the visa free of charge if well prepared.

Here's the official word straight from the Zambia government.
One file is a PDF, the other, HTML.

It appears that residents of South Africa and many other African nations
need NO visa.

As a SA citizen, I've never had to have a visa for Zimbabwe or Zambia.
Apart from local road taxes, there are no charges to enter the country
(for SA citizens).
