10th Anniversary Caribbean Trip Recommendations

Hi there,

We're beginning to plan our 10th anniversary trip for next summer, and
looking for recommendations on caribbean destinations.

We went to Grand Cayman on our honeymoon, and have considered
returning there, but want to explore other options.

We took a trip to St. Thomas (all inclusive) and were pretty
dissappointed, the island was pretty commercial, and didn't have a
very relaxed feel.

Neither of us are divers, but do snorkel. We are looking for a week
long trip to enjoy each other, lay around, swim, etc. Nice
accomodations are good, but we don't have to be 5 star. Renting bikes
or scooters for island tours is fun as well.

I'm pretty well starting from scratch here, no real idea on where to
go. We don't drink, so all-inclusive with alcohol doesn't make sense
to spend the money on.

Not sure a cruise is the way to go either, seems to public.

Anyone have any recommendations for desinations to explore?

One word: Dominica (NOT the Dominican Republic). A great island. Lots to do
or nothing to do, your choice. But I suggest you do some of the island tours
like swim in a pool of clear water and then under a waterfall. Or go for a
dip in a hot spring-fed pool of water. Lovely island, great people. We
walded the streets at midnight and felt safe.
