Default Breaking News!!

According to CNN, CBC, FOX News, and other news outlets, New York City,
Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Berkeley, Palo Alto, Arcata (the last four
in California), Las Vegas, Reno, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Mexico
City, Cancun, Mazatlan, all cities in Texas, Lousiana, Mississippi, Alabama,
Atlanta, Ga., Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Paulm Beach, Jacksonville,
Charlotte, North Carolina, all cities in Virginia, Washington D.C.,
Baltimore, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Cincinatti, Nashville, Detroit,
Minneapolis/St. Paul, and the Canadian cities Vancouver, BC, Victoria, BC,
Calgary, Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan,
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ottawa, Ontario, Toronto, Quebec City, Montreal,
Whitehorse, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunuvut, and Whistler, BC to
go car-free within the next ten to twenty years. Same thing will happen in
Europe as London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Leipzig,
Hamburg, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Strasbourg,
Edinburg, Dublin, Nicosia, Cyprus, Lyon, France, all British cities,
Copenhagen, and all other cities in Europe go car-free. Count on cities in
Africa, the Middle East, and Asia also going car-free.

In additon to those cities, college campuses around the world are going
car-free. It began with UC-Berkeley and UCLA, followed by UC-Channel
Islands, Arizona State University, Texas A&M and Omaha State in Nebraska.
The automobile is on its way out and here's a startling statistic. No one in
the SF Bay Area, Portland, Seattle, Hawaii, Europe, South America, or Canada
drives. Also most young people (the Y generation) don't drive. The main
reasons are environmental awareness which is strong among this generation
and they're very budget conscious. They prefer to use public transportation
to get around. Go to any college campus, especially UC-Berkeley, or a city
like Berkeley or any college town and you'll see every young person on a
bicycle or on a bus. Cars have disappeared from all college campuses. A lady
environmentalist I know of in Canada doesn't drive.

Sorry, but none of those media sources ever made the absurd claim that any of
the places you claim would ever be car free. You need to phone your
psychotherapist and have your medication increased or decrease the amount of
street drugs you're consuming. KM

And just which of the news outlets you so meaningfully cite was nutty
enough to claim that Houston, Texas (one of all the cities in Texas) was
going car free? Do you have any reference for your silly claims? FFM

That idiot even is posting the car free on other bulletin boards too.
I saw one of his posts on a east bay transit agency's web forum.
